Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Benjamin Anderson, doing business as AnchorStack (“AnchorStack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit the AnchorStack website, submit a contact form, install the GitHub App, request an audit, review an audit report, or communicate with us.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you choose to provide through the contact form, including your name, email address, project description, and message content. When you request an audit, we may collect your email address, GitHub repository URL, repository owner/name, selected audit domains, job status, audit status verification email activity, and related submission metadata.

We also collect information created by the audit workflow, including generated audit reports, recommendations, and security findings. If you email us, we keep the email communications needed to respond and provide operational follow-up.

2. GitHub App and Repository Access

AnchorStack uses the GitHub App to deliver requested audits. The app may receive installation metadata, the list of repositories you make accessible, repository metadata, and read-only repository access for the repositories you select. We use this access to inspect code and repository context for audit delivery. We do not use the GitHub App to modify your repositories.

You control which repositories are available to AnchorStack. You can revoke access at any time through your GitHub settings for installed GitHub Apps.

3. Analytics and Usage Data

We may collect product analytics or usage analytics to understand how visitors use the site and audit funnel. This can include page views, scroll depth, CTA clicks, form interactions, event-style interaction data, and basic visit or device context. Browser settings, extensions, or network controls may block some analytics collection.

4. How We Use Information

  • Respond to contact requests and project inquiries.
  • Create, process, and deliver requested audits and audit reports.
  • Verify audit status access and send operational audit updates.
  • Provide support, follow-up, and service communications.
  • Improve the website, audit funnel, and service reliability.
  • Protect the service, investigate abuse, comply with law, or resolve disputes.

5. Sharing and Service Providers

AnchorStack does not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the app, including hosting providers, analytics tools, email delivery services, database or storage providers, and GitHub. These providers process information for the services they provide to AnchorStack.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate suspected misuse of the service.

6. Retention and Deletion

We retain contact submissions, audit job records, GitHub repository metadata, generated reports, security findings, and email correspondence only as long as needed to deliver the requested service, support follow-up, comply with law, or resolve disputes. Upon verified request, we delete or anonymize covered information unless we are legally required to retain it.

7. Your Privacy Choices

You may ask us to access, correct, delete, or explain the personal information we hold about you. You may also request audit-related deletion or ask privacy questions regardless of where you live. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Submit a request through the privacy request form. We acknowledge requests without confirming whether matching records exist.

Depending on your location, laws such as the GDPR or CCPA may provide additional privacy rights. AnchorStack makes access, correction, deletion, and privacy requests available to anyone, whether or not a specific law applies to your location.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational practices designed to protect the information handled by AnchorStack. No website, GitHub integration, email system, or storage provider can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we avoid promising that information is risk-free.

9. Children

AnchorStack is intended for adults and business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as AnchorStack changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Review this page periodically for updates.
